Its native format remains .skp while the 3dsmax scene is optimized for 3ds Max 2016 and rendered with Vray 3.00 Built during the late 13th century, this stunning Romanesque and early Gothic edifice has become world-renowned due to the incredible frescos crafted by John Aquila around 1377. A magnificent Gothic alcove can be seen on the north side of the sanctuary. Works by John of Aquila have been preserved in five separate settlements, besides Velemérmártonhely is one, located today in Slovenia. Additionally, there are Bántornyain Hungary and Fürstenfeldradkersburgin Styria, Austria. The frescos have shown significant wear over the centuries; however, among the surviving fragments of the sanctuary, the symbols of the four gospels are easily recognizable: the lion represents Mark, the eagle signifies John, the angel represents Matthew, and the oxen signify Luke. On the north wall of the sanctuary, a self-portrait of Aquila himself is clearly visible. The window recess of the sanctuary features floral and herbal motifs, while above it is a depiction of the Veil of Veronica with the likeness of Christ. A striking threefold circle adorns the pinnacle of the sanctuary side of the triumphal arch, symbolizing the Holy Trinity. Images to the right and left outside the central piece depict good and evil deeds respectively. Below and to one side, a Calvary scene is easily identifiable, and on the opposite side is St Anne with Mary and the child Jesus.
