Bowl from the Roman villa of S. Cucufate, located in Alentejo, Portugal, a testament to the Roman Empire's enduring legacy between 1st century AD and 5th century AD. This common-ware pottery bowl was primarily designed for individual consumption of liquid and semi-liquid foods. Measuring 5 cm in height and 17.4 cm in diameter, this specimen showcases the intricacies of ancient craftsmanship. Currently on display at the permanent exhibition of the S. Cucufate museum in Vila de Frades, Vidigueira, it bears the catalog number CUC. 80 97. Through Reality Capture technology, this artifact was meticulously processed and modeled from 549 photographs. In 1999, I. VAZ PINTO published A Cerâmica Comum de S. Cucufate, a comprehensive three-part dissertation on Roman common ware pottery, presented to the Department of History at the University Lusíada in Lisbon. Building upon this foundation, VAZ PINTO further explored A cerâmica comum das villae romanas de São Cucufate (Beja) in 2003, shedding light on the ceramics of Roman villas in Portugal.
