Umbra Paper Towel Holder Contest: Rollo Project Participation I came across this contest and would love to join in; however, my software lacks the capability to save projects in STEP or IGES file formats necessary for submission. If a GrabCAD user could reverse engineer the files from those I send, it would be greatly appreciated. Observations: During group meals with limited food, we frequently pass around a single paper roll among participants, placing it horizontally or vertically on the table to accommodate everyone's needs. Innovative Design: The Rollo project involves two injection-molded plastic components that fit together, allowing for rotation. The first part (light blue) securely fits the cardboard tube and rotates with the entire roll, while the second part (blue) maintains a stable hand position and enables tearing off desired amounts of paper. Unique Feature: The outer blue component utilizes plastic elasticity to gently apply pressure at the beginning and end of the roll, preventing uncontrolled unrolling.
