Rolling Pin Handle

This thing was made with Tinkercad. Edit it online https://v1.tinkercad.com/things/eV0JHNeLWaM One of our Marble Rolling Pin's wooden handles cracked after many years of faithful service. The rolling pin features a metal rod that runs through the marble roller, supported by plastic washers on each side to center the rod and ensure smooth movement through its core. The rod extends completely through the marble roller and into both handles. I recreated the handle in close detail to the original design, but unfortunately, this resulted in the handle breaking at its narrowest point. Since it was printed with the handle pointing upwards, the layering proved to be the weakest link. When it broke, it shattered cleanly along a single layer. I had two options: either print it lying down so that the layers run lengthwise, making the layer weakness along its length, or increase the width of the handle near the breaking point. I chose to print this with the handle tall on the bed, with the hole for the rod facing downwards, and without supports. Note that I intentionally made the hole smaller than the rod, so you can use a drill bit to widen it exactly to fit snugly on the rod. This ensures the handle stays securely in place due to its tight fit. You may also want to verify the depth of the hole to ensure the rod goes far enough into the handle. If not, you risk installing the handle and realizing it doesn't go deep enough, forcing you to remove it bit by bit.
