Rolling Model Bus

Rolling Model Bus

This model rolls just like the real thing. Assembled, it resembles a vehicle complete with printed wheels and a chassis to create an eye-catching piece. PLA prints beautifully, offering a wide range of colors from which to choose for added customization. Using this particular model, 8-32 philips-head machine screws measuring three-quarters inch long secured each wheel into place with twelve accompanying washers and four 8-32 hex nuts to prevent slipping loose unintentionally. I took precautions by applying LocTite blue threadlock to the threads of each screw to hold everything firmly in place. To give it a finished look, I bonded the windows and bumpers using superglue for an effortless attachment. This bus model is specifically designed to meet the needs of a brain-injury support group working hard to regain their skills after suffering brain damage. As part of their therapy, this 3D-printed model is perfect for relearning important life lessons like traveling safely on public transportation, even in familiar environments where everyone relies solely on buses and other motor vehicles for daily commute or errands to complete.
