RollerHead #1
thingiverse
Experience RollerHead, a novel blend of "Ball in Vine" and a friend's 3D-scanned head. Think of it as the Bobblehead for modern 3D printing enthusiasts! The head spins and glides on a table (watch video here or at http://vimeo.com/70254567). Perhaps someone will create a game around these unique objects, such as table top shuffleboard or curling. Even better, organize a competition with teams of your friends' heads! To print a RollerHead, use ReplicatorG and a MakerBot Replicator2 with the default settings: Infill 10%, Layer Height 0.200, Shells 1, Feedrate 40, Travel Feed 55, and set temperature to 220°C. A raft with full support is recommended for printing. Be cautious while removing the support structure due to tight clearance between the sphere, head, and vine.
