Roller Shutter Belt Guide
thingiverse
Most window frames in my house feature integrated roller shutters, where the belt is fed through a rough-edged opening with a separate plastic piece inserted that provides a smooth surface for the belt to glide across seamlessly. These have been failing me consistently over time now (they crumble to dust almost completely) and are ideally suited for replacement using 3D printed parts specifically designed for this purpose. The standard dimensions work perfectly for the roller shutters in my house, measuring 20.9x12.4x9.5mm for the actual guides, with an overlap of 1.05 mm and a plate thickness of 1.5mm. The included file can (hopefully) be parameterized across a wide range of dimensions to replace belt guides that follow the same principle, allowing for flexibility and adaptability in design. When creating the guide hole, ensure it is not too big in relation to the body of the part or it may become excessively fragile.
