The spool roller is a simple, low-cost, lightweight, and space-saving solution for effortless filament spool mounting. Its design addresses the limitations of existing configurations by offering full parametric customization, enhanced stability through its ring structure, optional retainers to prevent dislodging, and inner flanges on bearing holders that eliminate the need for washers. All parts are printable except for bearings, and spools can be easily changed without tools. Customize your roller using the Customizer or OpenSCAD, with a minimal configuration requiring four bolts, nuts, and bearings. Optional retainers allow for securing spools at any angle with the addition of threaded rod and two extra bearings. Printable substitutes for metal fasteners are also available. Ensure adequate fill when printing for optimal performance, and note that the ring-style base may require a slightly larger build area compared to radial designs.
