ROLLER GUIDE SYSTEM

ROLLER GUIDE SYSTEM

I developed and designed a roller system - fitted to a case measuring W: 28cm H: 28cm - because many plastic bags containing bread look horrible! My kitchen now looks more luxurious with no plastic bags sticking out from the case! I tried to create an optimized shape for 3D printing, especially set up for a 0.4mm nozzle system. Two passes around the shape and next layer were optimized for the nozzle, speed, and material requirements. You can find parts: 1. Guide: rails, turns, ends 1. Roll: Main part, Holder + end, Closure End part I made a comprehensive portfolio of formats available to you, designed in Autodesk Inventor. The formats include .igs, .stp, and .ipt files. Version 1: A shape with an S curvature and a shell thickness of 0.8mm, which presents no problem for printing stability! Version 2: Unfortunately, this version is not stable for printing and tends to melt at higher positions due to the extruder. I will continue working on it to optimize the design. Printing time and process: Based on the required quality, the printing time was remarkably low, using a medium fan speed. A larger transport speed could cause the parts to drop, especially in the higher areas of the part! Material: Colorfabb black PLA Layer height: 0.1mm Temperature: between the recommended temperature range specified by the material producer Time: 3 hours and 45 minutes for one roll I advise using a larger BRIM for better adhesion to the bed. I printed: ROLLS: 32 + 2 holders + 2 closures GUIDE RAILS: 12 mid + 12 end + 4 turns In total, approximately 70 hours of printing were required. I hope this will also be helpful for your open cases at home! If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me. I would appreciate it if you could connect with my Facebook page, which is regularly updated with freshly printed items and photos! https://www.facebook.com/3D.obiecto/ Thank you!
