The enhanced Replicator 2 spool holder offers several improvements, such as its ease of rotation, preventing filament stiffness and facilitating spool unwinding. Additionally, it features a pinch-free design that allows for simple spool attachment with slight tilting. The spool is aimed towards the filament tube for optimal unwinding and doesn't rub against the machine regardless of hole size. To assemble, print the shaft at 0.1 mm resolution with support to avoid stair-stepping on the bearings. Print the spool holder with support, specifically for the lip at the end. Attach nine roller bearings without support and sand any rough edges. Smooth the inside lip of the spool holder and assemble the rollers, shaft, and holder as shown in the photo. Finally, attach to the Replicator 2 like a stock spool holder; the design must be mirrored for use on the opposite side.
