I made this contraption specifically to keep my decals off the floor.\nThe base bracket is secured tightly into place with wood screws in the piece of 3/4-inch plywood, which itself is safely anchored into the wall at the top. Designed with extra room for clearance, there are pre-cut pockets within the bracket that accommodate two drywall screws perfectly. As long as you're using only the top screw hole, this setup has enough strength to securely hold any vinyl rolls in place without slipping or sliding around. To add an extra level of stability and protection from damage, I carefully placed a section of 3/4-inch PVC pipe alongside the roll to support it from another angle, making it easier to move and store.
