This study aims to design and manufacture a SAE All Terrain Vehicle's roll cage, ensuring driver safety during crashes or rollovers. The roll cage is a tubular space frame that also supports other automotive subsystems like engine, brakes, and steering. It must adhere to SAE rules for dynamic events such as maneuverability and endurance. Roll cage weight significantly affects overall vehicle performance, so material selection is crucial, considering cost factors. Design takes into account driver safety, ergonomics, and manufacturing feasibility. After roll cage design, finite elemental analysis (FEA/FEM) is conducted to ensure driver safety in worst-case scenarios. Static and dynamic analyses of the roll cage are performed under various impact conditions, like front, rear, side impacts, and torsional analysis, for accurate stress evaluation.
