I wanted to adapt a cheap "Roland like" vinyl cutter to my CNC. You can find them on eBay at a very good price, and I've attached a picture for your reference. To balance out the imperfections of horizontality, I also wanted the cutter to float over the bed. Here's the full design and assembly instructions for adapting it to the CNC spindle motor: https://youtu.be/6DjguBXlJAM I use a 3D printed linear bearing, which you can find here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2537701. The working settings are as follows: an inner diameter of 11.55mm and an outer diameter of 18mm. The STL file is provided for your reference. I added a rubber band to allow fine tuning of cutter pressure instead of using the "fixed" spring. Finally, I mounted the cutter on a piece of plywood, which has made it much more rigid. Simply drill two 2mm holes and screw the cutter onto the plywood. Here's a demo: https://youtu.be/-efGI9lfq4Y
