The DRE20 transforms the BOSS – RE-20 Space Echo Twin Pedal into an Eurorack module, featuring a versatile DC-DC step down converter that can be adjusted. A total of two spacers need to be printed, along with two buttons to complete the conversion process. Additional Components Required parts beyond those reused from the original Boss Re-20 include: 6 pieces of 3.5 mm Eurorack Jacks PJ301CM Stereo, available at https://www.thonk.co.uk/shop/3-5mm-jacks/ Wire for connecting the jacks to the PCB can be sourced from https://www.rapidonline.com/catalogue/search?Query=Wire%207%2F0.2 Assembly Instructions Step 1: Carefully disassemble the Boss RE-20 Space Echo, removing the glued metal sticker in its center and disconnecting the ribbon cables connecting the two PCBs. Step 2: Trim the front PCB to fit within the Eurorack by carefully cutting small strips along the top and bottom edges using a hand saw. Step 3: Unsolder all existing jacks and solder new cables to connect the Eurorack jacks to the PCB, then secure the spacers with screws from the original Boss RE-20. Step 4: Attach the Boss RE-20 aluminium panel to the 3D printed front panel using two of its original screws. Expand the holes for these screws in the top of the panels until they align perfectly with the Eurorack's threading. Step 5: Align the 3D printed buttons over the RE-20 PCB switches and secure them with four screws from the Boss RE-20 on the back of the 3D printed front panel. Step 6: Connect the cables between the two PCBs, reconnecting the ribbon cables before screwing the second PCB onto the spacers. Power Supply Options The power supply can be either the original one or an included converter that transforms Eurorack's 12V into the required 9V for the Boss RE-20.
