Roktor - The Dragonborn Fighter
pinshape
Roktor Flamesaw exploits his intimidating stature and exceptional combat skills with a massive Greatsword to intimidate his adversaries into surrendering their arms and relinquishing their treasure, which he then sends back to the family he abandoned. Perceived by most as a ruthless enforcer, Roktor's ill-gotten gains are actually directed towards the loved ones he left behind. I desperately required a mini for my D&D game, but unfortunately, there were no decent dragonborn models available. Drawing inspiration from talented artists on deviantArt, I sculpted the head and most of the body shape using Sculptris, then exported it to Blender where I added armor, details, and rigging. To print Roktor Flamesaw successfully, place him standing upright without any modifications. Definitely use supports; while a raft is not strictly necessary, it may help maintain support strength in significant overhangs like the massive Greatsword he wields. Cleanup can be moderately challenging, particularly between the legs and beneath his chin. I printed Roktor in ABS, then sanded him down before applying a very brief acetone bath to prevent the sword from sagging. Finally, I painted him with basic acrylics.
