Since I acquired my Wanhao D6, I've been eager to upgrade the spool holder so it accommodates all types of filaments. After browsing various designs online and printing several versions myself, I found them either ineffective or required me to source additional parts like searching for components for a sports utility vehicle axle. Here's an improved solution that operates seamlessly without any moving parts and doesn't necessitate purchasing nuts, bolts, ball bearings, or shafts. This enhanced spool holder is long enough to accommodate various filaments I've tested but not excessively long to cause bulk on the rear side. The limiter plug has three holes for customization based on filament spool thickness. If you have exceptionally thick spools (I possess a few), you can remove the limiter plug entirely, and the cap atop will serve as an effective limiter itself.
