Rogue One Mining Tug Explosion

I'm a visual effects artist, and one thing I've always wished was possible - bringing our digital creations to life in the physical world. That's why I've been experimenting with 3D printing, taking some of my computer-generated work off the screen and into tangible reality. This particular model is a replication of the mining tug explosion from Rogue One, albeit shaped slightly differently to showcase its unique fluid dynamics setup. Due to the lengthy print time, I opted for a 70% scale version this time around. Next up, I'm planning to simulate another design that will translate better into a functional lamp - but since this iteration turned out quite impressive, I thought it was worth sharing with everyone. One notable feature of this printed model is its hollowed-out core, perfectly suited for housing an LED light source. While I haven't had the chance to try illuminating it yet, I'm excited to see how it will turn out once completed.
