Retropi Case, affectionately nicknamed "Rodrigo" by my wife, leverages an adafruit Powerboost 1000C, complemented by the adafruit Class D Audio Amplifier - MAX98306, coupled with two 8 OHM speakers that deliver 0.5W of power each, and incorporates Adafruit SPDT switch functionality, along with PiGrrl zero gamepad PCB's for a seamless gaming experience. Two 3.7v Lipo batteries with 2500mAh capacity provide the necessary juice to keep "Rodrigo" running, while the OSOYOO 3.5" HDMI touchscreen offers an intuitive interface and Adafruit 6mm tactile button switches ensure a responsive interaction with the device. A B503 50K Ohm 5pin dual dial wheel pot enhances the user experience, and a 3.5 mm stero male connector completes the setup, all built around a raspberry pi 3. Most of these components can be sourced from Amazon.com. For those interested in building their own Retropi Case, I've included the necessary files to facilitate this process. If you decide to build your own version and make any improvements or enhancements, I'd love to hear about them and learn from your experiences. Upon reflection, there are a few modifications that can be made to further refine "Rodrigo." Specifically, the dpad and buttons pcb needs to be adjusted by approximately 1.5mm to bring it closer to the inside face of the case. Additionally, a couple of holes can be drilled into the front face to expose the on, charging, and low battery leds for improved visibility. Although I didn't include a riser for the audio amp circuit in my initial build, this is something that can be added later if there's sufficient demand. If you'd like me to include this modification, please let me know, and I'll make sure to update the design accordingly.
