Rodin - The Thinker - Toilet Paper Holder
thingiverse
Just one day, in search of a toilet paper holder that doesn't bore me to death but not finding any, it struck me while in the shower: why not replace Rodin's Thinker's rock with the toilet paper? Done as said... As I have worked with the original scan by Mission_3D, the thing is *huge*! In order to be able to print it and fit a toilet paper roll, it needs to be scaled down to 40, but I left it big so if you have a bigger printer, you can use the more relaxed 41 or 42% scale. This will fit central European toilet paper rolls, but I don't know if there is any size difference internationally. Part of the print (and definitely its Achilles heel!) is the axis that should lock in at the base of the plate... The locking mechanism has to work with the little base there is, but it's not doing that great at all... So if you come up with something more crafty, go ahead an remix the hell out of it! This certainly can be improved. Also, be careful when removing the print and the supports - the shin bones are quite a delicate spot and break off easily. So, another place for improvement. As soon as the boy is seated, it should just be fine due to the axis. Tl;dr: just non-sense but might work. Enjoy the joke.
