The included rubber band serves as an added measure of security, but it's not strictly necessary for the clamp to function properly. The design allows the clamp to fit snugly around the mic plug without it. To ensure a secure connection, follow these simple steps: First, thread the mic plug through the clamp's opening. Next, insert the mic and gently push the clamp over it until you hear the satisfying click of it locking into place. For extra peace of mind, consider securing the clamp with a rubber band, as illustrated in the accompanying images.
