Rode VideoMicro Directional Hood
thingiverse
I wanted to boost directional audio from my Rode VideoMicro so I designed this hood to surround it and significantly reduce surrounding ambient noise (and the back). To my surprise, it's working exceptionally well! The reduction in background sound is noticeable without exact numbers - it's definitely quieter now. If you have any input or suggestions on how to further improve it, feel free to share them below. You'll need to print two of these and place one snugly above where the Rycote Lyre Shock Mount attaches. Then, secure it with a small rubber band. V3.4 is 0.05mm smaller in radius compared to previous versions, making sure your printer doesn't produce overly large prints.
