Rode NT-1 Mic Nut

Rode NT-1 Mic Nut

I purchased my Rode NT-1 used, only to discover that it was missing the essential nut required for securing the microphone to its shock mount. After conducting an online search, I found a metal replacement option available for $25, but since I bought this mic used with cost-cutting in mind, not extravagance, I decided against it. This is my third attempt at creating a solution and I'm fairly pleased with how it turned out, yet I remain open to suggestions from others. Hopefully, sharing my experience will assist someone else who faces the same challenge. The printed design fits snugly onto the microphone, but the ridges that provide grip are slightly sharp; smoothing them out by sanding would be a good idea, and twisting it on and off the mic a few times should help to wear in the thread. I opted for a higher infill setting during printing, though I'm uncertain whether this has any significant impact.
