!! UPDATE 2020-03-29 !!! New version of the bottom part with a slightly smaller hole under the motor support for improved printing results. The walls were too thin to print successfully. If you want to make modifications yourself, select the hole and reduce it by 0.4mm using the step file. !!! Update 2020-03-28 !!! Just released the step file. If you decide to modify it, please let me know what changes you made and post some photos. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes, another drone, quadcopter design. This one is a 3-inch model for a 20mm stack. This is an evolution of the Japalura canopy, which can be found at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3390339. I tried to create my own 3D-printed frame but it was always too flexible and I didn't like the design with bulky arms. To solve this issue, I came up with lamination by stacking two small flat frames on top of each other. However, that still wasn't enough, so I added pegs to prevent sliding between the laminated frames. The motor screws also provide additional stiffness to the frame. To print successfully, use a minimum of 3 walls and 30% infill or more. I recommend using PETG or polycarbonate for improved impact resistance. The frame measures 137mm in size.
