The OCC Rod Holder is a cutting-edge fishing accessory that securely attaches to your canoe's gunwale. It offers adjustable horizontal and vertical angles via one handle movement. The gunwale clasp is made of spring steel, while the interior boasts an epmt rubber lining for protection. The holder is locked in place by a handle-mounted over center cam (OCC) that also adjusts it. Potential materials include recycled plastic or rubber for the main body and epmt rubber for the gunwale clasp pad, with stainless steel used for metal components like the clasp, bail handle, fasteners, pivot, and pivot bolt. Assembly requires 3M VHB tape to attach the pad to the clasp and thread locker fluid for the pivot/pivot bolt to prevent loosening. This challenge has been a fun experience, but now it's time to focus on raising great kids!
