This handy accessory lets you use shorter smooth rods, specifically ones that measure 70cm as a standard option, for building your very own 3DR Simple 3D printer, thus bringing down the overall cost considerably. On top of that, it should give the frame even more stiffness too. To install it effectively: Attach this extender part, which gets printed upside-down by the way, directly to the top section of the bottom motor mount component. Make sure you apply some glue while doing this. Next up, secure the extender firmly to your t-slot extrusion using good quality M4 T-Slot bolts. Keep in mind that if you're using the provided STLs, you can effortlessly trim down those shorter rod lengths by a whopping 70cm while keeping exactly at your target build height level. On the other hand, you could alternatively use these special extenders to take your build height up by as much as another 70cm, all assuming of course that your t-slot extrusions are long enough to accommodate this increased length.
