Rod cross block

Rod cross block

thingiverse

This is a versatile block that allows two rods to be securely attached in either a parallel or perpendicular configuration, thanks to its strategically placed screw holes. The block's design enables flexibility in rod attachment options while ensuring stability and durability. Smaller screw holes are provided for added versatility, making it possible to use a range of rod sizes and configurations. The dimensions of the block, as well as the diameter of the rods and screws, can be tailored to suit specific needs. For instance, I have successfully used this block to mount web cameras on scaffolds made from 10 mm diameter aluminum rods. In my experiments with my Winhao Di3 printer, a hole with an inner diameter of 3 mm in PLA proved self-tapping when standard metric M3 screws were used.
