RockStar Electric Violin
pinshape
In this revised version, I've updated the design to give it a fresh and appealing look. When printing on ABS filament, you can use acetone or PVC pipe glue to securely join the components together. However, if you're working with PLA, epoxi glue is the way to go. For projects that require a smooth surface for painting, consider using sanding paper and automotive patching paste. This will leave your project ready for any color you choose. Don't forget to apply a primer paint before applying the final coat. You can find the electronics needed on eBay - just search for 'electric violin pickup.' The only component that needs printing support is the chainrest. Fortunately, I've been able to print all other parts without supports. To add extra strength to your violin, insert a 9.5mm threaded rod as a steel core. Recommended printing settings include: * A shell thickness of 5 * Top-down solid thickness of 4 * Infill percentage ranging from 20 to 30 * Layer height set at 0.20mm
