This is the Rocking Robot, a type 2 walking balance robot that operates with a distinctive rocking motion. For walking, a 1:120 type is used, as it provides the necessary speed with its gearing. In contrast, the faster 1:48 type motor powers the body rocking motion. Two AA batteries supply power and stabilize the robot's feet via ballast.
