Rocking knot

Rocking knot

thingiverse

This unique knot has a distinct feature – it can only rest on a surface in two spots at most. This makes it easy to rock back and forth and roll down even shallow slopes. A fun addition to any desk, it also serves as an excellent beginner's 3D-printing gift. Both thick and thin versions of the files are provided. To learn more about this object, visit MakerHome on Day 110: http://makerhome.blogspot.com/2013/12/day-110-rocking-knot.html. kitwallace has developed an OpenSCAD method that addresses some meshing issues in the joint area, as seen in the "Rolling Knot" on Thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:230557.
