Rocketeer Helmet Remix

Remix (sort of) of the helmet model posted by davypenn02, heavily influenced by his original design. This remix was created using blender with davypenn02's model as reference. The goal was to produce a helmet that is more screen accurate than other wearable models currently available online, plus learn how to model printable cosplay pieces - which seemed like an easy project to start with. Most existing wearables are either missing details, too thick, or not high enough resolution. I deliberately avoided adding weld beads around the tubes and fin as it would be easier to add them in post-processing using epoxy putty or hot glue. The helmet is meant to be wearable but may require scaling to fit. It was designed to print the main helmet as one piece on a CR-10, with the fin printing in 2 pieces (although I included a full fin file). A plug file for the left lens is also included - this is intended as a form to vacuform a lens to be placed inside the helmet. The file will need to be mirrored for use with the right eye. This project is still a work in progress since I haven't printed and assembled one yet, but I have sliced it in S3D to ensure all pieces would print correctly. This is my first completed helmet model so please let me know what you think. Happy printing! Edit: The helmet still isn't 100% screen accurate but I'm getting closer. In my opinion, the two biggest differences are the fin and the tubing on the sides. The fin should be much thinner - it couldn't be printed as thin as it needed to be without breaking easily, but it could be a bit thinner for this model. A quick fix would be to scale it down on one axis (x I think) before printing it. This would result in a bigger gap between the helmet pieces and you'd need to shim it and fill the gap with bondo or something - weld beading would easily cover it up. The other issue is that the tubes on the sides are too round - they should be slightly flattened. Currently, this could be achieved by sanding them down after printing, then filling in any holes in the exposed infill depending on how much you sanded and how many walls you printed. I'll try to make these adjustments in the actual model but may not get to it right away since I've got a couple of other projects I want to finish first - including the jet pack. Update: No longer listing this as a work in progress since other people and I have successfully printed the helmet. It came out great!
