Rocket with Plume
thingiverse
I adore Nico Kazz's rocket design and beautiful plume, but unfortunately, I'm having trouble getting the rocket to print on my machine at this scale without ending up with a messy spaghetti-like disaster. To avoid this issue, I decided to search for a new rocket that can be printed in conjunction with Nico's stunning exhaust plume before attempting to scale up both designs. I discovered a potential candidate but it didn't quite fit the bill when combined with Nico's magnificent exhaust plume. To overcome this problem, I replicated the plume four times and added extra flair to give it more volume. Then, I merged it seamlessly with Shawn Rains' impressive rocket design found on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2759193) to achieve a fantastic result. Next, I incorporated the central flame which might require some careful gluing in place. I employed a 1cm brim for this print as there isn't much surface area to hold it securely to the base plate and added support just for the center of the rocket. Surprisingly, no brim or support is needed for the plume itself. The tolerance between parts is very tight, so be prepared to do some gentle sanding to get everything fitting together smoothly.
