Human: Rocket by JJBTEXAS remix Instructions [UPDATE] I recently realized that both components will fit seamlessly within the 5.5 x 5.5" Afinia buildplate dimensions. This print demands 2 hrs 30 minutes, 60 grams ABS. And when printed simultaneously, there's no necessity for the "sacrificial bar" mentioned below. ===================================================== This rocket inspired memories of something from my childhood - a cartoon or toy, which now escapes my mind. I decided to create one anyway. However, it was marginally too tall for Afinia's build volume. Instead of scaling down, I split the model and produced a storage container. The top section fits securely in place. The box could benefit from a hinged top if someone feels inspired to design it. The bottom component required 1 hr 54 minutes and utilized 45grams ABS with Afinia defaults (0.3mm Z, medium speed with raft). The top portion took 39 minutes and 15 grams of ABS using default settings. Utilizing the default Afinia "support angle" of 30 degrees resulted in no supports that required removal within the top (lid) or bottom part (except for a tiny area at the base). **To achieve a sharp point on the top lid, I employed a sacrificial bar (STL included) to occupy the hot extruder between layers and prevent overheating the tip top. Place it adjacent to the model on the build platform. (This step is only necessary if the top section is printed independently.)
