This is a prototype of an amateur rocket, primarily designed for students participating in the Rocketry Challenge. Originating from the Anglo-Saxon nations and introduced in France in 2010, the Rocketry Challenge is a competition that aims to engage students in the hands-on task of building a mini rocket. The challenge involves launching the rocket to a predetermined height and ensuring the safe return of an egg payload. What sets this particular version apart is its unique payload, which comprises of a complex electronic setup. The electronics are driven by a Raspberry Pi Pico, a compact and versatile microcontroller. Alongside this, a Pico 10DOF IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) is included, providing accurate linear and angular motion measurements. A custom interface board manages the integration and communication of the systems, while a pitot sensor from the Pixhawk kit, specifically the 4525DO differential pressure sensor, adds another layer of data acquisition.Propelling the rocket is a Pro 24-3G rocket motor from Cesaroni Technology, widely known for their reliable and efficient rocket motors. One of the interesting aspects of this model is that it is easily adaptable to carry an egg, in line with the objectives of the Rocketry Challenge. For those interested in exploring further, the designs and schematics of the avionics are available at the following links:BerryRocket type n°1 avionicsGitHub - axpaul/Avionic-BerryRocketPS: The BerryRocket is currently in the advanced stages of development.
