Rocket / Model Rocket (35 inches)

This model rocket stands at a towering 35 inches tall, dwarfing an iPhone 5s in scale! It's comprised of five main pieces and can utilize two engine sizes - either 29mm engines like the E16 or F size, or 24mm (E9 or D size) with an engine adapter. This fully functional model rocket is designed to be printed on any printer with a build height of at least 7 inches. Always prioritize safety and have fun, thanks! I'll soon post a video and pictures of the first launch. Print Settings Printer Brand: Printer: R1 ABS + PLA Model Rafts: Supports: No Resolution: .20 or .30 mm Infill: Use 20% for the base, 100% for the body pieces, and hollow for the nose cone. Notes: I highly recommend using a .3mm layer height as this took me 12 hours to print using that setting. The additional launch lugs can be used if you're utilizing a thicker .25" launch rod. To use 24mm engines, simply place the adapter into the rocket and then insert the engine into the adapter. For my 35in rocket, I achieved a final weight of approximately 10.5 oz using PLA. Good luck building! Post-Printing Assembly You'll need masking tape and super glue for main assembly. Wrap connection points with tape until you achieve a snug fit between each section, then permanently glue them together using super glue. Apply tape to the nose cone to ensure it fits securely on top, but not too tightly as to prevent ejection. The lugs can be glued in place with super glue, while the adapter should be secured using the tape method. Finally, use tape to snugly fit the engine into the adapter or base section. Parachute: This can either be purchased or made from a trash bag. Use a toothpick to push the string through the hole at the bottom of the nose cone, then add glue and break off the remaining toothpick. You can attach the other end to the rocket using tape or glue. Custom Section What I Bought Estes E9-4 engines (Hobby Lobby) -Super glue -Masking tape .25" x 6ft Steel Rod (Lowes)
