Rocket fin (cone shaped)
thingiverse
Quick printing single-use cone-shaped rocket fin attaches directly to Type C model rocket motor. This piece prints very quickly (30 min) due to its single-wall design. It fits snugly over the bottom of a Type C model rocket engine without requiring adhesive or tape and has a slot for the launcher rod. The download includes g-code, stl, and SketchUp files; feel free to edit or remix, but be sure to read the instructions for advice on slicing it. Note that the Thingiview shows the top and bottom as solid surfaces, which is normal for spiral-type prints. I would love to see pictures of completed prints or even better, videos of them flying in action! Print Settings Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Simple Black Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm layer height, 0.4 mm nozzle Infill: None Notes: This print is done as a single wall spiral vase. Be sure to set infill to zero and have no solid layers on top and bottom. Best results were achieved when setting the 'wall thickness' to 0.6 mm even though the nozzle is 0.4. It fits a bit tighter this way and is more robust. I would love to see pictures of completed prints or even better, videos of them flying in action!
