Rocket Engine BT-20 Tube Cutter
thingiverse
I've been building model rockets with stuff around my house too, like Pringles cans and paper towel tubes. However, it makes more sense to buy a pack of BT-20 tubes and cut them down for A, B, & C motor mounts because it's cheaper that way. This jig helps you cut the right length of tube for A, B, and C engines. I also included my motor mount spacer template so I can make a rocket out of just about any cardboard tube. To use it, print the template, glue it to a cereal box or shoe box, let it dry, then cut out the center ring of the template and start cutting down the rings from the outside until they fit your tube. This centers the engine in whatever you're using for the body tube. Update 2/8/20 - I added an open-ended version so that any length BT-20 tube can be cut.
