Rocket Challenge
thingiverse
In a design challenge with my buddy, we each crafted rockets for a high-flying contest. The video shows his C-motor rocket Part X, which required drilling rings to fit the motor and gluing them to the notched fins. My first rocket was an older design that I modified by drilling a hole and hammering in a rocket motor. The second rocket I designed, called RocketChallenge.stl, involved attaching a small cylinder to the nose cone with hot glue, then slipping the C motor between the fins before securing them with more hot glue. You can watch our competition unfold in this YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoNc0DGa-xk.
