Rocket Car Snap-on Wheels - Dualstrusion
thingiverse
I created beppo's car for my son using a 3D printer; however, the polycount on the wheels was insufficient, necessitating an upgrade. Thus, I revamped the wheel design, making them larger and rounder (120 steps compared to the original 30ish) to enhance rolling performance on plastic axles. Additionally, I added dualstrusion rims for a multicolor, fancy appearance. To achieve this, first print beppo's car, followed by these custom-designed rims. The provided spoke file contains two small registration shapes that facilitate proper alignment when using the "multiple" option in Skeinforge to print all four wheels simultaneously. Unfortunately, there is no non-dualstrusion alternative available at this time due to the time-consuming effort required for dualstrusion alignment.
