Rocker switch enclosure

Rocker switch enclosure

thingiverse

This is a compact housing for a rocker switch, specifically designed to accommodate switches with protruding tabs that securely latch under the edges of the casing. The top of the enclosure must be precisely 1mm thick, allowing for snug contact between the tabs and the lip. Once the switch is seated within this housing, it's likely that the enclosure will need to be disassembled in order to retrieve it. This intentional snug fit effectively secures the switch in place but can be inconvenient if removal is necessary. To avoid this issue, it's recommended to test all connections prior to inserting the switch. The bottom of the casing features two small openings, each 6mm in diameter, designed for wire insertion. If larger wire gauge is required, the holes can easily be enlarged by an additional 2mm without compromising the structural integrity of the enclosure.
