Rocker bogie Robot
grabcad
The Mars rover suspension system, known as the Rocker bogie, was initially implemented in the Mars Pathfinder mission and later utilized on the Mars Exploration Rover (MER) and Mars Science Laboratory (MSL). This robust mechanism can withstand the challenging Martian environment's potential mechanical failures. A key aspect of the Rocker Bogie design lies in its streamlined drive train, achieved through two rocker arms. The structure for this project employs PVC pipes for enhanced durability and ease of assembly.
