Rocker Blotter

Rocker Blotter

thingiverse

A classic rocker blotter design, perfect for drying ink on fountain pen pages, requires a simple setup. First, slip the end of a standard sheet of blotting paper into one slot on the base, then wrap it around the bottom and tuck the other end into the second slot. Finally, secure the paper in place by sliding the cap onto the base. If using thin blotting paper, you can also press and click the cap instead of sliding it. This rocker blotter features a single strip of absorbent material 1.75 inches wide and 4.7 inches long, ideal for J. Herbin's pre-cut refill sheets or custom-cut pieces from full-size sheets. The photos showcase a blotter made with Mont Blanc refil strips, which are slightly larger than the recommended size. Printing this design is straightforward, requiring no support material. Simply follow these settings: Resolution: 0.2mm; Infill: 25%. While both layer height and infill percentage can be adjusted, the photos demonstrate a successful print using Monoprice wood-filled PLA at 210C.
