Case for Rock64: A Cooling Solution. I designed a custom case to house the Rock64 board while incorporating a fan to prevent overheating issues. This was necessary because of the device's tendency to overheat, particularly when operating at high temperatures. The chosen fan is a Cooltek 4010 model that can function effectively even at temperatures above 60 degrees Celsius. To ensure proper installation and optimal performance, I utilized M3 screws for securing the fan in place, along with M3 nuts for easy adjustments. For assembling both parts of the case, I employed 35mm M3 screws. Interestingly, I omitted using nuts to fasten these components together, opting instead for a straightforward screw-based approach. This design choice may actually contribute to increased structural integrity. It's worth noting that my initial prototype was crafted from cheap China-made PLA filament (a byproduct of a Creality CR-10 3D printer), primarily intended for test purposes. Nevertheless, the final result exceeded my expectations, showcasing an exemplary blend of functionality and aesthetics.
