A rock tumbler that demands precision, requiring 8 bearings - 4 per unit - to eliminate friction entirely. The tubes needed can be sourced from any hardware store, specifically designed to fit either a 40mm or 50mm tube/pipe, with PVC tube serving as an effective alternative for me. All you need is the gearing, which I will later upgrade with additional gears. The bearings I recommend are ABEC-5 608-ZZ from eBay, boasting a center diameter of 8mm. For this design, I opted for aluminum rods instead of pins, rendering them unnecessary. Simply download the face file, canister, and lids; the rest is open to customization (the adaptor for the pipe you'll use is a minor task that I will also share later). Use rubber sealants for lid spacing, and secure the canister with a threaded rod. If any part appears undersized on your plate, multiply it by 10 to scale. UPDATE: The new housing design allows for a motor holder enclosure, perfectly suited for Arduino units (available on eBay or directly from Arduino) with a diameter of 26mm. Two 8mm rods can be used to connect the housing, and the length is entirely up to you to accommodate your gear requirements. New Features: The gear system has been removed and replaced with pulleys, offering unparalleled flexibility in adjusting speed or torque according to your specific needs - simply swap out motor pulleys and you're done.
