Human design Created for 2016 Outsider Art Fair, inviting design to build 3D printed towers that showcase creativity together. Rockstack Tower catches the eye with a fresh concept that redefines what towers look like. Inspired by stunning rock balancing photos showcasing delicate structures made from balanced loose rocks, the idea sparks imagination and excitement to create something new. Stacking loose rocks without adhesives results in incredible designs that appear to defy gravity. While keeping within challenge parameters was key, having fun evoking this source material and pushing design boundaries presented an interesting experience. A bold touch came with creating angular features on each rock tower component to achieve a more realistic and functional building style that showcases imagination. By incorporating lines on selected "rocks", vertical and horizontal elements further differentiate the structure from random stacking, emphasizing human creation and texture in this man-made wonder.
