These are springy legs designed to support agate slices so sunlight can pass through them easily. They also work well with other thin (1/8" to 1/4") slabs you want to display, such as pictures on plywood. Keep in mind that the contact points do not fully close, so they won't hold anything thinner than about 1/8". They provide a bit of pressure, so might not be suitable for material that can be easily dented (soft foamboard or similar). Two models are provided, differing in their springiness - I used the strong variant for a heavier agate slice and the light variant for a smaller slice. FreeCAD models are included so you can adjust these if needed to provide even stronger or lighter versions.
