Rock Form (Porthcurno) showcases Barbara Hepworth's persistent fascination with the connection between landscape and human existence. This piece was sparked by the unique rock formations near Porthcurno, a tiny hamlet nestled close to Land's End, which Hepworth vividly described as 'with its strange caves pierced by the sea'. As part of a series of sculptures exploring the relationship between land and sea, this work embodies Hepworth's innovative spirit.
