This intricate rock art panel was meticulously 3D scanned on August 20, 2018 within the Archaeology Gallery at The State Museum of Pennsylvania using a Go!Scan 50 device. Notably, due to its unique display configuration, only the top and a significant portion of the panel's sides could be accurately captured through 3D scanning technology. Originally unearthed from Walnut Island in the Lower Susquehanna River during the 1930s, the panel was carefully extracted before being submerged by floodwaters resulting from the construction of the Safe Harbor Dam. A special thank you is extended to The State Museum of Pennsylvania for generously allowing access to this remarkable artifact.
