Whispers spread quickly among the people of our world about the treasures, powerful artifacts, and fantastical wonders that lay hidden within these forsaken places. Adventurers seeking fame and fortune flocked to these cursed lands in search of riches. Organized into small groups, they ventured forth into the unknown, braving countless dangers along the way. This is Scavengers, a tabletop miniature war game where players lead their own group of adventurers in a desperate bid for glory. According to the Alabar Chronicle's Scavenger Guide to Our World, "Scavengers is a tabletop skirmish game that pits two players against each other in small-scale combat, using five to ten miniatures per side. The game is easy to learn and play, but it takes time and experience to master." The game was designed around three core principles: Firstly, Scavengers allows players to use either the game's 3D models or any miniatures they prefer. This flexibility ensures that the game remains manufacturer-agnostic, though designers would be grateful for your help in downloading their free models. Secondly, Scavengers prioritizes the miniatures on the table above all else. After all, miniature gaming is about the miniatures – and having fun! Thirdly, a rich background setting will be developed over time, with new units, histories, and game scenarios added to enhance gameplay.
