This is a mechanical clock designed specifically to help explain time and clocks to kids in an engaging way. All the components are held together using six flat head sheet metal screws, each one measuring 1/2 inch long with five of them being identical and one slightly longer at 1.25 inches. The numbers on this clock are raised, allowing for a visually appealing display. To achieve this unique effect, you can pause your print job at a specific layer height using your slicer software. Once paused, you can switch to a different material in your printer and then resume the printing process. I experimented with this technique by letting my printer complete one layer of the numbers and border in blue before switching to green.
