I fell deeply in love with RobSoundtrack's 12-hole Ocarina and was thrilled by its exceptional playability! However, my Nordic roots made me feel that it required a touch of elegance :D So I painstakingly traced the actual artwork from The Jelling Stones(Jellingestenene) to create intricate carvings on the Ocarina. I skillfully combined visual elements from both of the Jelling stones. A Brief History of the Jelling Stones: The Jelling Stones are ancient runic gravestones situated in Jelling, a city in Denmark. The larger stone with the ornate carvings and runes that adorn the front of the Ocarina is believed to have been erected by Harald Blåtand(Harald Bluetooth) in memory of his parents and to showcase his own achievements. The graphics I used depict Jesus Christ, reflecting the period when Denmark was transitioning to Christianity. The smaller Jelling stone features an inscription roughly translating to "King Gorm created these memorials in honor of Thyra, his beloved wife, and Denmark's prized beauty" The actual history of the Jelling Stones is subject to debate, with some questioning the validity of the inscriptions. Nonetheless, the above account represents the most widely accepted version of events.
